Post-Apocalyptic

by anpostteller

The visuals really pop off of the screen; everything seems alive when your Sackperson is above the surface. The visual depth of the backgrounds paired with the splashes of light and color are the key, I think.

The best effect is the how the explosions of destroyed machines momentarily light up the level. The loud booms and electronic garbles that accompany the explosions just seal the proverbial deal. The detail of the destroyed subway is easy to overlook, but it’s impressive nonetheless.

The level might be too dark though, and some areas, like the drop at the beginning, could benefit from clues to direct players. Otherwise, the level is a feast for the eyes and is easy to play. Congratulations to anpostteller for earning the 2009 Sackademy Award for Best Visuals and Use of Special Effects in a Level.
